PDB speaks:

Shortly after Sandy Hook, a friend asked me if I thought we should be more concerned about the enemy, or the quislings on our side. I unhesitatingly responded, our own side. We cannot do much about those who fear freedom, trying to logically argue a person out of an emotional position they arrived at irrationally is nigh on impossible. But there’s no reason to make it harder on ourselves by deliberately staking out positions that upset the tender hearted for no other reason than because we’re mad at the time.

Part of the reason posting has been light on my side. Not sure I have much to contribute that would be ‘reasoned discourse’.

Shhh…OPSEC.

Some Updates if Anyone is Still Reading

So, business travel. Yeah, well, it’s unpleasant as hell, especially since 75% was to effing Detroit.

Beginning tomorrow, that’s over. I said ‘this too shall pass’ and it has. New day gig and it’s all in Atlanta with zero travel. Good times. That means more blogging, and more time to focus on my other side projects.

Speaking of side projects, the Drone Company has been a wash so far. I had some success with prototypes, but to be honest, the cost and complexity were too great for your average non techie. I’m still pursuing, though along a different set of lines. More soon, and this time, I mean it – seriously I do…

Last, but not least, my software company launched it’s app last week. Good stuff. Only on Android at the moment, but we are headed for the Apple frontier in just a few weeks. This concept has some interesting possibilities. One of which is the potential to make ludicrous amounts of money that will allow me and Mrs. Matson to build even more tribe and put in place some community based plans that only lots of capital can accomplish.

So, in closing (and i know i have said this before), stay tuned. Time is short, but likely not as short as you think or have been led to believe – more on that later as well.

In the meantime, watch your six and keep your powder dry.

Radio Matson is back on the air.

On lack of posting.

Day gig is in an interesting transition. Being part of the leadership team means I get stuck behind closed doors for extended lengths of time. Apologies. I guess you get what you pay for.

I’m going to drop offline for a few more days and be back sometime before Christmas with regular updates.

Such is life. Stay tuned. More to come, and as always, the above may be rendered moot should I find time and reason to post.

Have a good one.

I disagree

Federal judge rules that a blogger is not a (see approved) journalist.

I’m the first person on the planet to admit that there are consequences to what one says. I have the scars to prove this.

However, I will say what I want, when I want and will not be held against some kind of approved class list when I say it.
