Some Updates

Some updates.

I’m traveling for my new day gig. Lots. Mrs. Matson is pissed and the brood misses having dad around every night. Opportunities sometimes cause situations like this to pop up. This too shall pass.

This also means I have the indelible displeasure of having to deal with the TSA on a twice weekly basis. Awesome. To top it off, most of said travel is to Detroit. Lovely – which is actually not that bad where I happen to be while there, though I have gear cached and a detailed E&E plan to head 180 if I need to.

On top of this I am involved in a few web/software type startups. I generally roll the dice on stuff like this to see what can come out of a little effort. Sometimes the payoff is high. Most times not.

Finally, I started a drone manufacturing company last week while out on the road. It will be based in GA unless something radical changes on that front. I will share details as that one progresses because I believe it has the most significance to what I talk about here. Like Kerodin’s citadel and arms company, this org will strive to build for the citizenry in support of liberty and freedom. Details soon with pics of the prototypes.

Nervous Laughter

With all the rumblings about Urkel and his drone pr0n obsession, as well as the stories about the USAF & LEOs getting tech upgrades from Uncle Sugar (you) one has to step back and laugh nervously – you know, a little.

I’ve mentioned before that I have built a drone. It was relatively easy and cheap.

It would however seem that my next logical step would be to make that drone, and any future DM drones models include the ability to find DotGov’s toys with accuracy. I’ll get to work on that.

As an aside:

  1. Thanks CA for putting all those links in one post.
  2. I’ve been following Ulsterman’s Whitehouse Insider since he began a year or two ago. I’m not so sure I buy the authenticity completely – YMMV. I do however believe (see the word believe in the Dictionary) that the whole affair is a weather vane for the state of affairs of the executive branch.

Shining Ray of Hope or Status Quo?

See this article about the Demonrat Senator from TX and his “lets kill the cartel leaders with drone strikes” recent electoral defeat.

Can’t do a permalink to it, but there is a comment from one, “florian.royack” that says this:

I believe any elected representative, Rep-Dem or INd who supports drones in US airspace should be voted out of office

As do I, though we all know that won’t happen – or will it? My answer, btw, is just to end The War on SOME Drugs.

Perhaps, in some minute way, a tide, somewhere, just turned…

So, get inside the loop.

Propaganda spin here.

Your answer to said tyranny here.

Guys, I’m here to tell you. I went from zero to 80% autonomous with about $600 and five working days. Figure out how to get that production cost down to even half of that and you have just out OODA’d dotgov by millions of dollars.

Guess what? Your ROI is way shorter.

The possibilities are endless.
